Wilmes has realized twelve large projects, including Central Park Tulum with 54 luxury apartments including a mega solar power ant and a climate-neutral fitness studio. According to their own statements, Los Amigos makes 34 million euros in sales a year.

At the age of 18, Wilmes had already founded a packaging company in northern Hesse. The former Friedri List student got to know Subway while on vacation in Australia. A little later he opened a bran of the fast food ain at Kasseler Stern. However, he was not happy as an entrepreneur in his home country: "I found Germany so cumbersome."
